Call for Abstracts closes 1 May 2018

Invitation to Submit

The Conference Committee invites you to submit abstracts for consideration for an Oral Presentation (20 minutes).  All abstracts will undergo a peer review process by the program committee. The Conference Committee will allocate abstracts to the program taking into account the quality of each abstract and the balance of the program.

Submissions are invited for abstracts that inform and contribute to the following areas:

The theme is Synergy in Reflexology

Synergy in Reflexology = the potential ability for individuals or groups to be more successful working together than on their own.

Practitioners working the ears, hands and feet have greater success in a session.

The Spiritual aspect of our work is signified in the Conference logo watermark spiral.

The colour sage is used for dispelling any negativity and raising the immune system and blue is for communication between the cells.

We particularly welcome submissions from the following individuals:

  • Existing Reflexologists working within the Allied Health Service. We would love to learn from your experience on how you work in conjunction with the Allied Health Care System as we value your insights
  • Practitioners who work in holistic medicine and can present that their work has significant impacts on education, research, clinical practice and policy.

Presentation Formats

We invite you to submit abstracts for the following formats. While you will be asked to indicate your preferred presentation format, the program committee may request an alternative format be considered. The committee will allocate abstracts to the program taking into account the preference of authors and the balance of the program.

  • 20 Minute Oral Presentation on day one or day two with an extra 5 minutes for questions


Submissions are invited for abstracts that inform and contribute to the following areas:

  • Holistic Medicine
  • Life Balance/Mindfulness
  • Reflexology in the Allied Health System
  • Other

Submission & Review

All submissions must include an abstract up to 300 words.  Abstracts will be reviewed by the Conference Committee for quality and applicability to the theme.  All submissions are due by 1st May 2018 and to email interest to  All abstracts are to be submitted on line on the Conference website.  The receipt of abstracts will be confirmed by an acknowledgment email by 30th May 2018.   All applicants, successful or otherwise, will be notified.  All persons submitting abstracts will receive notification of the committee’s decision no later than 1st July 2018

Submission Procedure

  1. Prepare your abstract
    Prepare your abstract (up to 300 words) using the Word template below.  Use Arial font and character size 11
  2. Provide a short (100 word) biography of the presenter* which is to be used on our website and in the booklet produced for the Conference
  3. Email   interest to present.   Abstracts must also be submitted electronically via the Presentation Portal.

*If accepted for the program we will request a photo in the acceptance email which will accompany your biography on the conference website.

Please Note:

Presenters at the conference must pay their own conference registration, travel expenses, accommodation and breakfast.

  • Conference Registration for 2 days includes Welcome party Friday evening, lunch, morning and afternoon tea*
  • Conference Registration for 1 day includes lunch, morning and afternoon tea*
  • Dinner Saturday evening*

* Are negotiable at a discounted rate at the discretion of the conference committee’s review of your abstract content.

Audiovisual Equipment

Each lecture room will be equipped for the presentation of Power Point slides and include a data projector, computer (with external speakers), lectern and microphone. Other audiovisual aids, such as Overhead Projectors, are not available.
