Mr Michael Parrant1
1Aon Risk Solutions
Aged Services organisations are exposed to critical cyber risks due to a number of factors, such as storage of personal information, electronic record keeping, human error and increased use of technology, not only within facilities but also throughout supply chains.
Using ‘normal’ language rather than tech jargon, Michael will put cyber risk into context for Aged Services, examining the extent of the threat, and explaining the core issues surrounding the risks.
As well as exploring top cyber risk exposure trends and facts, Michael will outline how cyber risk can be addressed by organisations and what solutions are available. Taking a practical view, this will encompass breaking down what a typical cyber policy is made up of, how each risk is analysed, and identification of an organisation’s key vulnerabilities.
All of this will be interjected with real life examples of losses caused by cyber risk, plus a look at the new mandatory data breach regulation that is coming, demystifying what this means for Aged Services.
As Aon’s Cyber Insurance Practice Leader, Michael negotiates and places cyber risk on behalf of many of Aon’s most complex clients, and presents the outcomes to Audit & Risk Committees and Boards. Associated duties include claims advocacy on behalf of clients, through to technical reviews of coverage and risk profiling of client’s cyber risks.
